Investing in Your Child’s Future
K- 6 Tuition
The total tuition for students in K-6 is $7,900. This amount includes the full cost of instruction, course materials, and access to any provided student resources or support services. This amount will be covered under the ESA program for families that complete the application process and provided the student meets eligibility requirements and funds are available in the account. Other sources of funding such as STO and SCRIP may also be used to reduce the amount of tuition.
PK4 Tuition
Four year old preschoolers attend school Monday through Wednesday from 7:40 am - 3:40 pm at no cost. If families choose, they can send their child on Thursdays with the cost of their tuition being $1250 for the year. If they choose to send them on Thursdays, families will give a Payment Agreement Form at the beginning of the year where they can decide to pay the amount in full or make monthly payments.
PK3 Tuition
Three year old preschoolers attend school on Fridays from 7:40 am - 3:40 pm. The cost of their tuition is $1250 for the year. Families will give a Payment Agreement Form at the beginning of the year where they can decide to pay the amount in full or make monthly payments.
Tuition Assistance Programs
A School Tuition Organization (STO) is a charitable organization that receives voluntary cash contributions from Iowa taxpayers and allocates those funds in tuition grants to Iowa school children, who use those grants to attend one of the accredited non-public schools represented by the STO. At least ninety percent (90%) of the money received by an STO must go back out in tuition grants. K-12 students who reside in Iowa and whose household’s taxable income is at or below 400% of the federal poverty rate are eligible for STO grants. These are paid directly to the school and deducted from tuition. Families will need to apply for STO each year in order to determine eligibility to receive the grant. The application deadline is May 5th for the following school year.
The Kucera grant is a fund that the Archdiocese was formed in 1983 by Archbishop Daniel Kucera to encourage Catholics to share their gifts with the educational and catechetical ministry of the church of the Archdiocese. Each year, the amount of money available for the Kucera Grant distribution will be divided by the previous year’s October official free/reduced count. That number will be multiplied by each individual school’s number of free/reduced students. The result of that calculation becomes the school’s Kucera Grant allocation. Allocations will vary from year to year depending on the amount of funding available and the total number of free/reduced students enrolled in both the Archdiocese and each school. The determination as to which students receive Kucera Grants is a school decision based on locally determined criteria. Schools will be expected to use the funds for the school year in which they were received. If there is a need to carry over funds, this must be approved by the Superintendent of Schools.
Scrip is a program through the school where you can purchase gift cards at face value and the school will receive a certain percentage (varies by business) that will come back to the school, which can be used towards tuition. This provides a way to give back to the school just by purchasing gift cards for things that you buy everyday such as gas, food or shopping. Purchasing Scrip is available through the school office.
Education Savings Accounts are available from the State of Iowa. Parents who choose to enroll their eligible children in an accredited nonpublic school will receive an amount equal to the per pupil funding allocated to public school districts for the same budget school year. Funds will be deposited into an education savings account (ESA) to be used for tuition, fees, and other qualified education expenses as specified in the legislation. If tuition falls below the amount of ESA provided, the remaining amount will remain in the student’s ESA account for use in the future. The application will close June 30.
